Are you feeling like your goals are too far? Are you feeling lost in the middle of the way? Are you feeling overwhelmed by work? A lot of people feel all of these emotions and in the past – actually sometimes right now – I feel the same.

After a lo of times, errors, fails and reviews and coach mentors I understood where the problems are. I said problems because they are many. In first instance we set a very unspecific goal and we don’t plan for it. Let me make an example – that is actually one of my 2021 goals. Try to understand the difference between:

I want to reach 10k Instagram followers

and

In 2021 I want to reach 10k Instagram followers. I have 6 month. To do it I have to reach 40 followers every day. To do it I have to produce x valuable post, x valuable articles, x valuable reels, blablabla

Did you got it ? When the goal is very specific what do you have is a plan, in other words a list of tasks to execute day by day.

But here is the second problem. If you don’t keep track of your tasks or your process you will end to lost you way. One of the main benefits of daily journaling it to keep track of tasks and progress. This ensure to you to understand whats priorities are. After a while you will also understand how maximize your output and apply the Pareto Principle (80% your results depends by the 20% of your efforts).

Another thing that daily journal ensures to you is to keep track of your health state. Let me do another example. For a while I felt my energies low. I start to track them day by day and after 4-5 days I understood because I follow a very low sugar diet I am really sensible to sugar, specially if isn’t natural. So when I exceed my sugar daily quota I feel like an egg cracked. How I understood that? Because tracking all of the things I do helps me to understand when I apply a change into my routine and if that change empowers me or destroys me.

But let’s dive into the template and how use it. Since nobody in this century have enough time this is a 5/10 minutes daily page template. It is divided into 3 section.

Morning Question ☀️

The morning section have 3 questions. For everyone you have to give 3 answer. Do it before your work day start. I usually do it after breakfast!

What I am grateful for? ← Something you are grateful for. You cup of coffee, you lecture of the night before, you friends phone call, a memories, a cup of coffee

What would make today great? ← It helps you to focalize which are the 3 main goal of you day. In this way you can determinate which tasks have high priority and understand better how to apply the Pareto principle.

I am ← Operant (good) conditioning. Usually I always write “Focused – Disciplined – Determinate” Sometimes I also write something I have to be that specific day (i.e. calm, committed, fearless)

Tasks ????

  • [x] ???? I mark with this emoji priority tasks I have to accomplish by the day
  • [x] ???? I mark with this emoji tasks I can accomplish by the week
  • [x] ⭐️ I mark with this emoji events like meetings

Night Question ????

The night section have 2 questions. For everyone you have to give 3 answer. Do it before you go to sleep.

Best things happened today? ← 3 best things that change your day!

How could I have made today great? ← Review your day and try to find the weak points. For instance…did you procrastinate a little bit? try to understand why and how to fix it!

Reflections ← Feelings, sensations, thoughts. Don’t think too much about it, just write and help your subconscious to get out!

Do it every day. Set priorities, apply the Pareto Principle and try to understand you feeling. After a while you will be also capable of understand when you have enough energy to speed up or if it is better slow down a little bit.
